A lesson I learned from following him is that he never responds to comments by readers even when he has made errors in his posts.

A while ago he made a serious error that many readers noticed and commented on. No responses, no correction by Ethan.

Most of his posts were very interesting, but so would have been answers to comments and corrections to errors.
