A lot to overcome there.

If sex work were legal everywhere, trafficking wouldn't exist, but self-requested "smuggling" still would. If you take up any work,--sexual, dangerous, debilitating, or whatever--because you have no choice, that is a type of slavery. If you are free to leave your job but can only go to something equally bad, you aren't free.

That's why I strongly support UBI. Sex work, like every other work, would be something you can do, but never something you must.
