According to, well, everyone, Apple has been working on AI for years. They have a history of watching other companies mistakes and then suddenly entering the market with something they hope is better.

They blew that badly with Maps a few years back, though now I think their Maps is better than Google, but the damage may last forever.

I imagine they might be being very careful not to screw up with AI, but sheesh, they might wait too long!
