And, as I have said in my complaints about this ridiculously flawed program, even with the best of morals and the best of intentions, noms can and will nominate only from the stories they read. Who do they mostly read? Their pubs, their pals from their little groups.
None of that necessarily means the nominations are not good, not deserved, not worthy. It just means that thousands of equally deserving writers get left out.
But you need to remember Caesar’s wife.
As for me, I told every nom in one of those little cliques NOT to ever consider me again. First, because I don’t need more money and second because it would be really screwed up to be rewarded by a program I think is grievously wrong in concept and design.
