Apple Defeats Noisy Birds and a Noisier Blender

The new Voice Isolation feature truly surprised me

Once a week I call my sisters. One of them gets up early, so I talk to her for an hour first. After we are done, the other one calls in and I spend another hour or so with her.

We don’t use FaceTime because we are usually doing chores while we talk. So, AirPods in, I walk around for a couple of hours dusting, emptying trash, washing floors, or whatever else I need to do in the morning. All good so far, right?

Sure, except the second call usually finds that sister in her Bird Room. She and her husband keep a room with a large “flight cage” for several dozen birds.

You can read about their birds right here at Medium:

Birds do tend to be noisy, and even noisier when excited to see my sister bringing their morning meal. In the past, I’ve sometimes not been able to hear her over the screeching birds.
