Apple Fitness Plus For Older Adults

And new workouts for pregnancy as well

Fitness+ is a subscription service. It requires at least an Apple iPhone or iPad, and, for the best experience, an Apple Watch. The only device that REQUIRES the watch for Fitness+ is when you use it on Apple TV.

I have been using Apple’s Fitness Plus workouts whenever I can’t get out of the house due to bad weather. These can be challenging; although I am in good physical shape, I am 73 years old and do have arthritis here and there. Throw in some decades-old injuries and I’ll admit to finding some of the exercises quite difficult. The trainers do offer modifications if you need to either back off or ramp up a bit, but even with that, there have been times when I’ve flopped down on the floor and laughed at myself.

Earlier this week, Apple added two new programs to Fitness Plus: Workouts For Older Adults and a separate series for pregnant women.

Update: it seems that they’ve removed “Older Adults” and left only “For Beginners” and “For Pregnancy”. Why? Maybe some Political…
