Apple is Adding a New Account Recovery Option in iOS-15 and You Need to Pay Attention

It’s not at all fun to be locked out of your Apple ID

For most of us in the Apple ecosystem, forgetting our Apple ID password doesn’t cause much pain. It’s usually quick and easy for you to change your password, but with bad planning and some bad luck, you can end up needing what Apple calls Account Recovery.

Account Recovery isn’t a difficult process; in fact, you need to do very little beyond telling Apple you need it. The annoying part is that it takes time, and without your password, you cannot access anything in iCloud. Of course, that includes backups, any files stored in iCloud, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness, and more.
