Are There No Collectors Here?
All these people and nobody is interested? Really?
What the whatever? Medium has hundreds of thousands of readers, I’m told. Or I think that was what I was told. It doesn’t matter, there are a lot of you and it baffles me that all my attempts to get some of you interested in my Collectibles, History.. wait, what was that other word?
Oh, yeah, Knowledge. That’s it, Collectibles, History, Knowledge. My Publication that I lovingly created because I saw a giant gap here at Medium, a deep canyon of missing content, and I thought that it ought to be filled.
Maybe that’s a bad analogy. Canyons probably shouldn’t be filled. We should be stewards of our earth. If a river carved out a hole, leave it be. Though with all our trash, canyons are tempting.
I know! A vacuum! I saw a vacuum. Nature abhors a vacuum and although I’ve actually found vacuums useful for getting crud out from under my car seats, it apparently is not an ecological disaster to fill any vacuum you have found.
I know, I’m meandering. I’ll get to the point.
Collecting coins has always been my thing, my side boo. It’s not because they are shiny and have value. It’s because of what I’ve learned about them, about the history, the intrigue, the treachery. Collecting coins has taught me so much.
