As I used to support a lot of Unix, the Mac’s terminal and Unix shells were the big attraction for me. Also critical was the ability to run Windows in VM’s for those Windows customers I still had.

And then the iPad came along, which gave me portability and battery life no laptop of the time could touch. Since then, I’m fully immersed and entrenched, but had I never drifted away from Windows, yeah, it’s good stuff now too.
