As I've been saying about the work week for many decades, fifty is nifty but twenty is plenty.

And that applies to every job, whether it is driving a bus, working in retail, or caring for the sick. Twenty is plenty.

Yes, there are times when overtime is needed in some jobs. If circumstances require 8 hours today, then take a day off later to make up for it.

That's how I lived in the 30+ years I worked for myself.
