Ayup. While it's true that you can put in tremendous effort and just spin your wheels, there is no chance of movement if the wheels aren't moving.

I'm not in need of money; this is more hobby than anything. But money is a measurment of success, so I do like to watch the numbers increase.

And community is important. It's a bit more loose knit here than at other sites where there are forums for writers to hang out and talk (and snarl and scratch), but like you, I feel that connection with those I read and those who read me. The connections may be gossamer threads, but I cherish them.
