Because it gets harder to identify AI with every passing day, I think the trend is obvious: more and more and more.

Maybe Medium needs to look at the commenting by authors. Certainly dropping similar vacuous comments everywhere is a smoking gun, and easy for Medium to automate. Harder, though more revealing, is when a comment plainly misunderstands whatever it is replying to.

Although not making any comments is meaningless now, maybe it shouldn’t be. Maybe a real human needs to be socially active, too.

And maybe it is time to stop the follow for follow nonsense. Again, easy for Medium to see, and the real writers doing it deserve slapping just as much as AI writers do.
