Can you tell me why bikes required to drive on the same side of the road as cars? I think it’s ridiculous.

If you are facing traffic, you see the traffic, the traffic sees that you see them, and everyone is safer.

\When you are driving the same direction as I am, and I come up behind you, you look over your shoulder, and an inexperienced biker is going to swerve into the road. I’ve seen that time after time after time, and it scares the hell out of me.

Or,, you get what happened to you: the car goes faster than expected, or another car comes out of nowhere going faster than everyone. If you were facing them, you’d see them.
