Corporations can be such ass wipes.

Many years ago I wrote a story on my website that used a made-up word to describe a made up product.

Twenty fricking years later I got a letter from a lawyer representing a company who had recently trademarked that very word. They wanted me to take down my post and threatened a lawsuit if I did not immediately comply.

I wrote back to point out that my use was decades earlier than theirs. They advised me to prepare for court. I said to hell with it and changed the stupid made up word in my post.

Sheesh!
