Could be. A neighbor of mine, many years back, was approached by a woman in a bookstore. Turned out she was a very high priced prostitute and she milked him for a very large amount of money. He ended up killing her. Somebody wrote a book about it which I read, but I cannot recall the name of it or him.

I think he was a professor.
