I agree, they definitely should. I think the other thing they should do is let us call up standby even if it isn’t plugged in. My phone could run for hours doing this kind of stuff and it would be nice if I could just prop it up And turn that on without being near a charger.

I’ve actually thought about doing this by using one of my portable charging batteries with a short cord and rigging something up so that I could put the phone on that battery and have it be on its side as Apple demand for standby.

When I do buy a new phone, I think I may keep my iPhone 14 Pro and use it with a battery like that when I’m sitting at table or in the living room without a charger nearby.
