I can read a typical book in a very few hours. I expect most of my reads are at least 30 seconds, but I’m not going to play games making sure that I have done that.

Because I subscribe, I can usually triage stories without loading them in Medium. However, sometimes I will think I want to read more and find that I do not once I get here.

I will abandon the story then, 30 seconds in or not.

I don’t play tit for tat games here.
