I Don’t Know Why Some People Dislike Apple So Much
Is it our smug confidence that we know something you don’t?
No, I shouldn’t lead with that subtitle; I can hear the knives coming out of their sheaths now. Forget I said that. You must have good reasons to dislike Apple, its products, and those of us who use those devices. You must have!
I just don’t know what those reasons could be.
The walled garden?
How about that walled garden that supposedly keeps all the nasty stuff out of the Apple App Store? Even I might even agree that Apple could offer a sideload capability by adding a switchable mode that allowed it but could be disabled for support needs. Not that I myself would want any of your nasty Android germs!
No? The prices, maybe?
All right, hold on. Maybe it’s the Apple Tax? The usurious markup Apple that adds to everything they make? Is that what makes you angry? That can’t be it, because that would only be true if you secretly wanted Apple stuff but couldn’t afford it and you have made it crystal clear you will have no truck with anything made in an Apple child labor internment factory.
