I gave up years ago. It’s not that it’s hard to exercise a take down order and I have even had entire websites torn down because the owners had stolen so much and ignored every communication. It’s because after publishing many thousands of articles in so many different places, so much gets stolen that I simply gave up.

I don’t even check any more. I find some things accidentally when googling; sometimes it even takes me a bit to realize it’s mine. I was really enjoying an article a few years back and only realized at the end that I had written it.

It is sad that so many people steal.
