Apparently those of us who put “none” for religous affilation number more than I thought. Yet politicians most definitely invoke religion frequently. Why is that?

I guess we don't make enough noise.

The heavily religious are always "out and proud". We who are not religious *might* have a Darwin fish on our car, but that's pretty subdued and most of us exhibit no external signs of our non-religiosity.

I think also that we are reluctant to appear as opposing religion as it will offend so many of our friends.

But I sure would like religion out of goverrnment!
