I have such mixed feelings about this.

I am beyond happy for you. You need the money, so that’s great.

But… you aren’t the only one and vast amounts of money going to single stories decreases income for many other people who need the money as much (or even more) than you or anyone else getting such as great Boost.

I think there should be some reasonable cap — maybe $10,000 ? — per story and maybe some cap on monthly earnings as well. I have no idea what that should be but it sure shouldn’t be hundreds of thousands!

Or maybe if we feel guilty, we could set our own caps. I would tell Medium to never pay me more than $1,000 a month — put any excess back into the pool. Maybe that would be the best way?
