I have to disagree. You “follow” 60,000 people. Obviously that is meaningless — you aren’t reading 60,000 writers,

I will LOOK at anyone who follows me and leaves an interesting comment to check out their stories, If they write about things I’m interested in, I subscribe to their email. When their email arrives, I look at the story and, if it’s interesting, I read, clap, and probably comment. That’s honest. Follow for follow is not. It’s not ego, it’s true interest, a true connection.
