I hope that it’s more than just historical judgement that results.

A system that allowed one man to wreak all this damage needs to be redone. This should be important to the Left and the Right. Party loyalty shouldn’t blind us to the danger. This needs more than patching; it requires major construction.

I could not begin to suggest what legal barriers could protect us from a replay of this horror, but I certainly hope that wiser heads can and will.
