I pay no attention to any notifications other than comments and private notes. Those will get me to look at a profile, maybe put a story or two in my reading list and possibly subscribe to their email notifications.

I do NOT use Medium’s reading list. I add every email notification to Safari’s Reading List because it’s easier and quicker than Medium. No matter how many I add, I’ve looked at all of them by end of day. Sometimes that requires quick decisions, read or not read, but I do read many.
