I stopped submitting to publications six weeks after joining here.

Maybe--maybe-- I made less money because of that. Maybe I didn't gain followers as quickly.

But the fact is that I have made decent money and I'm happy with my growth. I'm also happy to have avoided all the limitations and difficulties of publications, large and small.

So all the pubs can fold for all I care. Tags and Lists are far superior replacements.
