I think Medium needs to adjust the punishment side of this, Yes, 30 seconds may be fair for crediting as a read, but often I come across something that looks interesting, but when I read the first sentence or two, I realize that it wasn’t quite what I wanted.

I don’t mean that it was clickbait, just that the post is not what I wanted to read.

The author gets punished for views less than 30 seconds and should not be for a near instantaneous exit,
