…d, there’s no denying that in terms of long term strategy, it would be better for them if they did. The longer they allow Trump to maintain control, the more difficult it will be for them to emerge from beneath his shadow. Why not get him out of the way now, rip off the bandaid, and make way for themselves as best they can after the inevitable fracture within the party?
