I truly cannot understand Bitcoin mania.

If our money ever sits on a blockchain, surely that blockchain will be something designed BY GOVERNMENTS and will have far more accountability than Bitcoin. And then whither Bitcoin? Poof!

Well, poof except for illegal purchases, which is why governments won't use it.
