I was born in 1948 and my youngest child was born in 1974, so I really have no idea what public education looks like today.
From the comments, it’s possible that you also have no idea. However, your ideas are good, so I do hope they are being employed as several have claimed.
My own education was so boring that I quit it at 16 in spite of having been in early gifted and talented classes right up until the day I walked out. For me, school was painful and mostly pointless. I passionately hope that no child experiences that today.
