I was lucky enough to have benefitted from a number of the factors you mention.

I can identify a half dozen or so points in my life where a tiny bit of bad luck could have made me very unsuccessful. Just tiny incidents of circumstance would have been enough. I can also identify a few where a different decision could have made me very wealthy.

Anyone who thinks that the luck and circumstance you describe didn't mold their life is a fool.
