I wish that we would start seeing violence as what it is: illness.

I mean something that should be researched and treated as best we can. Learn the causes of violence, work to eliminate it, whether it be social causes, mental, drugs, whatever.

The gun people are correct when they say that guns don’t kill people. They are wrong in that guns are dangerous toys and we should control access to them by angry, violent people. That part is necessary, but we should also be working harder to help the screwed up people.
