I Won’t Be Writing on NewsBreak or Vocal and I Finally Know Why
It’s so obvious, how could I not know this?
I recently received an invitation to write on NewsBreak. No, they didn’t offer me money, they just said that I could join. So I did because I’ve read a lot of posts here about people finding great success there.
I created an account a week ago and haven’t posted a single story.
Gosh, that’s silly, isn’t it? NewsBreak doesn’t care about original content, it’s literally just a matter of cut and paste with maybe a little reformatting. You need 20 posts and 100 followers to earn money, but I have hundreds of posts I could pop in there, so half of that work is easy.
But I’ve been putting it off. I’ve been putting off Vocal too and also that BitClout thing some folks are excited about. And today I had a tiny epiphany: I know why I have been reluctant to commit.
No, it’s not laziness and it’s not lack of time. Nor is it any doubts that those places could make some money. Nope, it’s much more simple and it’s nothing logical.
It’s visceral.
*I don’t like Newsbreak*
Or Vocal, Hubpages, BitClout, Quora. I don’t like them.
