I worked out of a home office for thirty three years. I did venture out to customers a few times a week,

Separate work and life? There was no separation because I was a one man show, in call seven days a week.

Because I had no boss other than myself, I didn’t feel any guilt about doing what I wanted when I wanted to do it. Because every dime I earned was mine, I didn’t mind being interrupted at play by a customer. My family wasn’t always happy, but they also benefited from my flexible work hours.

So, for me, it was never an issue.
