I’m a person who preordered an iPad on the day it was announced. I didn’t even see the presentation until much later, but I knew the device would change my life.

At that time, every time I left my house I lugged my laptop with me. As its battery life was only a few hours, I had to bring a clunky power supply too. I saw that the iPad could eliminate that from most of my customer visits.

I don’t think Apple became successful only because of good marketing. Their products have filled real needs. Marketing informed us, but the capabilities sold us.
