I’m not certain there’s any real science behind this, but I have GERD, which is plenty enough reason for a restricted window. I eat between 4 am and 3 pm and that’s the end of it. That helps avoid heartburn, which is my reason for doing it. If it turns out to be healthy for other reasons, that’s great.
