I’m one who still masks and sings that “Happy Birthday” song too many times a day. Never stopped.

I have been illness free since all this began, but ten days ago I was hit by a doozy with a headache and extreme lethargy. No cough or nasal drip. I slept most of the first five days, took an at home COVID test, no indication, but I’m still suspicious.

I’m recovering slowly now, a little better every day. My wife wants me to see a doctor, but for what? I’m recovering and I doubt she could do much. Even if she confirmed COVID, so what? Nothing would change with that: I’m still avoiding people, still masked when I cannot.

It didn’t kill me. Not this time.
