i’m pretty sure that my difficulty with faces came from being extremely astigmatic and not being recognized as such by doctors or my parents for many years. I don’t know if there’s a medical term for it, but I also don’t notice details around me. I can see them, but my mind doesn’t take note of things in the same way that other people do. I won’t notice what you’re wearing. a new haircut, your new glasses, a hat.

So it’s “Hey, you!“ for me.
