in 1959, for my 11th birthday, my parents gave me Martin Gardner’s Mathematical Puzzles & Diversions. It was a wonderful book and it stayed on my bookshelves for many decades.

Unfortunately, I lost it when we moved fifteen years ago, but I can still recall the joy I got from it.
