In many respects, evolution has already given us a biological singularity. There are gotchas that come with it, though. Many of our most intelligent simply drop out, not caring to help advance anything. Is that increasing? Is it slowing our logarithmic progression? I’m not aware of any such studies, but that would be interesting.
