Maybe I Can Get Some Crowd-sourced Medical Advice?
Because the docs are just guessing now..
I went to a urologist because I am being woken up by a need to urinate. I’ll get to specifics on that, but first:
- I’m 73 years old and in great health otherwise. My doctor jokes that there is little she can do for me because there is not much that needs fixing.
- A1C is just one point over the line they call pre-diabetic (5.7). My maternal grandfather was diabetic and I think he died from it. I avoid added sugars.
- I do not have an enlarged prostate, and my PSA is 0.1; apparently, that means it’s not prostate cancer.
- I don’t have a bladder infection. Bowel movements are regular and healthy.
- My bladder empties fully.
All that was confirmed by tests the urologist performed. He had me try two different pills; they had no effect.
I’m going to go back again, probably to someone else, but someone who has “enjoyed” similar symptoms may have already found the cause.
Symptoms
So, specifically, if I’m in bed, I’ll wake up feeling bladder discomfort and an urge to pee. Not much will be produced. This can happen as much as four times. There is no burning.
