Maybe this is coincidence, but I have created my own publications and I’ve had 4 of my posts curated since starting here on March 31. One of them was curated into 3 different Topics. I think Medium likes Publications.

It could be because Publications let you separate into categories and can attact more readers that way.

But yes, big publications probably give more boost. I’d still rather do my own and be able to control quality (assuming anybody ever submits!).
