I am pretty sure that some people get frustrated with writers like me who flip from subject to subject. If, for example, you are only interested in my tech stories, it might be quite annoying to get a notification that I have written anything that is not about tech.

Medium has given us a solution.

This isn’t exactly new; it was actually announced back in February 2023, but I just found out about it today, and only because I was reading the About page for CarolF where she casually mentioned it. I almost stopped breathing when I read what she said, which was precisely this:

Neat trick: if you save a list, you get an email every time I add an article to that list. You’ll miss nothing (as long as the Medium system plays ball) but you can ignore articles on topics you don’t want to read.

I had to search out a Medium blog post to find out what it’s all about and they didn’t explain it all that well, so I’m gonna ‘splain it to you here.
