My wife and I both have Series 5 watches. She has unfortunately fallen numerous times in recent years.
I or someone else was with her all but twice. The first of those was that she fell while I was outside cutting brush. I would have been out there for hours and would not have known she was stuck on the floor, but she used her watch to call me; of course I answered on mine and came right in to help her.
Another time she called from her watch after falling in our bedroom. I was on my way home, but was half an hour away. I told her to call 911. She did and I arrived home just in time to see her being loaded in the ambulance.
People who say they “don’t need the watch” are very, very foolish. Anyone can fall, anyone can experience AFib or high/low heart rates. It is an important health monitor.
