My wife and I have used Uber several times now. Most were short trips around Boston, but one was a longer ride through heavy traffic. My wife was very upset by that trip and I doubt she will ever take an Uber again.

The problem was the driver, who spent most of our ride talking excitedly on her phone with a girlfriend. My wife felt she wasn’t paying enough attention to the traffic. I didn’t entirely agree; the driver was young and seemed quite accustomed to what looked like chaos to my wife. When I was younger, I was often in such traffic myself and would have thought nothing of having a hands-free conversation, but it did make my wife very uncomfortable.
