But Android people don’t spend as much money overall. There are high end users, but most of the market would want something much cheaper, which generally does not interest Apple.

You mentioned the SDK’s, and that’s monstrous. The Apple developers struggle with WatchOS as it is; I can’t imagine what a mess it would be bringing that over to Android.
