Not really. I cannot think of a single spreadsheet that won't import CSV. I import it into Apple Numbers, for example.

My use of it is primarily with Perl scripts to get the info I want quickly. But as CSV is just text, any text editor will let you instantly find what you want and for those of us accustomed to the Unix command line. Apple Terminal gives us grep with pattern matching, quick sorting, and more.

I also pull down the daily Partner Program files that have total earnings per story. Using a Perl script, I compare those to the day before to get earnings per story for yesterday. That's accurate first thing in the morning; it's unfortunate that Medium doesn't update yesterday until much later in the data your extension grabs.
