Off the Cuff Blood Pressure

Because it doesn’t work as well

I get dizzy fairly easily. All it takes is a little bending over or standing up too quickly, and sometimes not even that, to set my head spinning. I’ve even fainted while just walking back to bed from getting a sip of water.

Yes, yes, I’ve been to the doctor. Multiple doctors. Multiple tests, no cause determined. The final word: maybe the message doesn’t get to my heart fast enough when my brain says it needs more oxygenated blood. Some nerve problem, a delay in the circuit, whatever.

But, just in case, I should keep an eye on my blood pressure because it is on the low side.

But lowish blood pressure is good! Yeah, I guess, but maybe not so good when you are a person prone to dizziness? I don’t know, and I don’t think that doctor knew either, but what the hell, I bought a blood pressure tester thingy.

Our pharmacy used to have a blood pressure machine that customers could use. They took it out when COVID started.

What I bought was the doohickey shown in the picture above. I found it on Amazon, duh, and they still sell things like it (not an affiliate link).
