Okay, it’s not always hard, though forty years ago with no internet and precious few books, it could be at times.

But more than once I’ve been trying to figure out why somebody else’s code was not working right — without source— and had some overpaid dope in a $2,000 suit screaming that every minute this error continued was costing tens of thousands of dollars.

Those usually weren’t “hard”. They sure could be stressful though.
