Really? I don't like that. Not with a link anyway. The thing is, we almost always have something at least casually related.

If I have something that I strongly feel you need to read because it solves a serious problem you mentioned, I might tell you in a private note that I have that and ask if you'd like the link.

If I definitely know that my article is important to readers of yours-- that's an EXTREMELY rare occurence-- I'll say so in a comment and give the title, but no link.

I think I've done those two things once in the 18 months I've been here. So one comment and one note pointing to something truly relevant and important. That's it.

Dropping your own links is rude. I block people for less.

Now, somebody else's links is more nuanced. I will drop a link to a relevant Wikipedia or news outlet. I hesitate to post Medium links. I think maybe an example of when I would is if you said "So and so's post about xyz is here" and I know that so and so also wrote a longer and more detailed post about that. Posting that link seems fair.
