Maybe the real problem is unfocused, multi author publications.

Maybe if we writers could just separate our output by topic (and not just the seven allowed for pubs) people interested in us could easily find us and people interested in topics could easily find those.

Why do we need publications anyway? I’d rather see them all disappear.
